It is incredible to me that a narrative of this kind is always pinned on geopolitical contests. Given the track record of the US to weaponize anything at their disposal when it comes to exerting its policy and hegemony, it makes sense for China to forge ahead to be self-reliant.

Everyone interviewed in this video has various degree of this mentality that “all good things have to and must come from United States of America, otherwise it is bad, vicious and a threat”. A thread to what? to whom? GPS is not a threat in that sense? This US exceptionalism is astounding. So other countries cannot and are not allowed to develop their own technologies? I am speechless.

I’m from South East Asia, we always face problem from American to temporary switch off their GPS and causing our ship lost direction in the sea frequently. Luckily China help us to solve the problem. GPS is not serving the world, it serve American only, on the other hand, China is the only country show helping hand.

From this and other American reports, one could sense how the inferiority complex has been building in the hearts of American. Together with the sanctions, I am convinced that America is losing. Because when two persons are competing in running 100m, competitors should run harder rather than pulling the legs of the competitor. China is challenging American dominance in economy, technology, space, and even in sports. Just look at the gold medal number in the current aquatics competition in Fukuoka.
