China’s newly self-developed 28nm lithography machine gives better result than ASML’s unregulated 1980i lithography machine when used in the 7nm chip production. Will ASML still be able to sell its unregulated 1980i lithography machine to China’s chip manufacturing companies?

The US should apply more sanction on China. The Chinese are getting lazy, this will
force them to work harder and innovate and produce their own chips instead of buying
them from overseas.

China shows great perseverance in the face of sanctions. The only way is determination, persistence, and hard work which have already produced fruitful result: the 28 nanometer lithography machine.

Chips are now reaching 2 to 3 nm. The next challenge in this industry is below 1nm engraving. So with a capability of 28 nm, China has still a long way to go for improvement. But I have no doubt that China will soon catch up

It is actually more beneficial for the Americans to supply as much chips to the Chinese as possible.. Keep all the domestic Chinese industry non-competitive..

ASML’s dominance in lithography machine has been broken by China as she is mass producing the 28nm lithography machine. Using chiplet technology China can produce high-end chips beyond 28nm. Huawei can produce kirin chips for the communication products. The usa’s export restrictions to China works to bite its own industries as China is becoming independent of the usa chips technology.
随着28nm光刻机的量产，ASML在光刻机领域的霸主地位被中国打破。利用chiplet技术，中国可以生产28纳米以上的高端芯片。华为可以生产用于通信产品的麒麟芯片。随着中国逐渐独立于美国芯片技术，美国对中国的出口限制正在损害其本国产业。

living and improve their countries!!

Nobody can be stopped from making anything, it may take more time. China has stolen a lot of basic starting blocks in many fields and building on that. India built the cryogenic engine even though there were sanctions. India should too.

Maybe the USA made a favor to China trough its sanction. Because without sanctions China would have continued to buy this expensive chips.
